On Sunday, June 15, members from both the Coonamble State Emergency Service and Coonamble Rural Fire Service got together for a combined training day to practice some of the skills they have learnt in Flood boat operations and Portable Fire Pump operation out of a flood boat.
Members of both services had a great day getting to know one another and working together as a team.
This day benefited both emergency services (they get volunteers and receive support from the local community) to support Coonamble in times of emergency
If you are interested in joining or helping the volunteer emergency services in Coonamble you can contact the SES on 0418 168 749 or the Rural Fire Service on 68 22 4422.
